On Friday, Mashable HQ hosted an all-day mystery event that included all our remote and San Francisco-based employees. It was great to have everyone together in NYC for a day full of trivia, pictionary, ping pong and of course, cocktails and a deliciously catered meal. We can’t believe ourselves how much we’ve grown!
This PSA from 1995 correctly predicts the future of the internet. These kids should’ve set up a psychic hotline 1-800 number to compete with Miss Cleo.
Kit Kat is really popular in Japan. There, the candy comes in a whole range of creative flavors like this one: green tea cherry blossom. Yum!

Part of Matthew Olin’s MFA thesis at University of Minnesota included posters of superheroes as fonts, including Spider-man rendered with Script. See the whole set here.
I just filmed a video “Goofin” @ New York, NY, USA on #viddy
This is so cool.
When Drake Martinet proposed to Stacy Green, Mashable’s vice president of marketing and communications, he didn’t realize what a statistical improbability it was that he had found his soulmate until running the numbers. Emmanuel Colombo was so inspired by the proposal that he animated it and posted it to Vimeo. If you’ve been lucky enough to find your soulmate, share it with them.

2009!
The change over to a new year, is a time for reflection and aspiration. I feel good things coming in 2009. NYE, really I had a great time minus a few small nightly blunders. One, being the insannne bruise on the upper portion of my right buttock aquired while airlifting Olive ( and apparently myself) down the stairs. My room is clean and fabulously fresh to start the new year right.
Now to start a day of cleaning, and a kind but firm letter to some housemates regarding their modling coffee pot.
Olive was ACTUALLY allowed to ride in Sylvia!! She was sure to mind her p’s and q’s, but was a renegade on our hike at Temescal!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY OLIVE!!!
Damn these online portals
I’ve been neglecting some and over-using others. I’ll make more dedication to you my tumblr i promise.
About to go do a photo shoot in the graveyard with my make-shift lemonade stand. ahh & hopefully relaxing with two of my favorite pals after.
Only in Berkeley
Kristin is toooo on point with this - only in berkeley do they still hold onto the vain notion that growing and harvesting corn for the use of making disposable cups is somehow environmentally friendly. Whoa.
